On July 15 Teresa Propeck, marketing director of the Clarldale-based Verde Canyon Railroad, retired from the railway after 24 years of service. “It’s with a mix of pride and sadness we salute the career of one of our greats,” said Verde Canyon Railroad Marketing & Group Coordinator Ellen J.D. Roberts. “For many, Teresa Propeck was the first face to have introduced them to our train, at consumer shows, tourism events and in TV interviews.” “Much of the growth of the Railroad can be attributed to her leadership,” added owner Dave Durbano, who said Propeck “helped slide all of the puzzle pieces together.”
