On April 29, two Page High School Automotive Technology students, Telson McBride and Richard Vail, won first place in the State Automotive Challenge Contest in Glendale. The top 10 schools in the state were competing in a contest that had 10 2017 Nissan Sentra vehicles bugged with 12 problems. The students had 90 minutes to fix the problems. The team from Page was the only car that started, earning them first place. The students each won toolboxes and tools, a school trophy and $1,000 scholarships.
