On Sept. 5, 2024, at approximately 1827 hours, Page Officers were dispatched to the 800-900 block of Sage Ave. regarding a passenger truck that had collided with perimeter fencing for the airport and fled from the scene. Significant damage was found to the fencing when officers arrived. Shortly after, it was revealed the vehicle was being operated by a Rebecca Juarez and was occupied by three juvenile-aged children during the collision. Officers followed up at Juarez’s residence, finding the damaged vehicle in the driveway. Juarez was contacted at the residence and found to be heavily intoxicated. She was arrested for three counts of felony endangerment and one count of felony criminal damage. A search warrant was obtained, and her passenger truck was seized as evidence related to the collision incident. One child in the vehicle during the collision incident sustained minor injuries as a result.
On Sept. 2, 2024, at approximately 0221 hours, an individual unlawfully entered the fenced residential yard of a property located in the 1000 block of Grandview Street. The individual attempted to gain entry into the residence but was not successful. Page PD is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying this person. A $500 reward is being offered to anyone who provides information that assists in criminal charges being filed.

On Sept. 2, 2024, a police canine alerted to the presence of illegal drug odor on a suspicious vehicle that was parked at a local hotel. The canine then alerted to the presence of illegal drug odor in the immediate area of the room that was rented by the driver of the vehicle. A search warrant was obtained for the vehicle and hotel room. During the investigation, the suspect was located and identified as Kaiden Klingonsith. Quantities of a substance that tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine were in Klingonsith's possession. Klingonsith was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Sept. 1 at 1501 hours the Page Police Department received calls of a two-car accident, with one occupant trapped in the vehicle. A vehicle attempting to turn southbound from Lake Powell Blvd. and onto Hwy. 89 (south access) was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on Hwy. 89. The trapped occupant sustained minor injuries and was safely extracted from the vehicle. All others involved had minor injuries and were treated on scene. Page PD wants to encourage drivers to remain alert and avoid distractions. Arrive alive!
On the morning of Aug. 31, 2024, during traffic enforcement, a Page police officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on US Highway 89 southbound. The vehicle was traveling 100 mph in a 45-mph zone and was approaching a 35-mph zone in the city of Page. The vehicle eventually slowed due to traffic and a stop was conducted. The driver was identified as a Colombian foreign national, Juan Diego Moreno Cardozo. Cardozo was transported and booked into the Coconino County Jail for criminal speed.
