Sept. 13, 2024: The Page Police Department investigated several serious cases over the past week. The entire state of Arizona is experiencing an increase in methamphetamine-, fentanyl- and cocaine-related crimes, and unfortunately, the city of Page is no exception. Chief Tim Lange thanks all our officers and dispatchers who participated in the following investigations:
On Sept. 6, 2024, at approximately 7:17 p.m., officers were dispatched to a local business to investigate a report that a trespasser had been located on the property. When officers arrived, they found an employee had the suspect pinned on the ground. The investigation found that the employee heard his dogs barking in the yard and went to see what the commotion was. The employee observed a male on the property who was trespassing. The employee contacted the male and informed him he was trespassing on the property and that he needed to leave. The suspect said he was “trying to get high.” He then pulled a smoking device out of his pocket and displayed it. The suspect refused to leave and punched the employee, who was forced to defend himself. The employee was eventually able to get the suspect pinned on the ground until police arrived. The suspect sustained injuries and subsequently could not be booked into custody. The smoking device tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine. The suspect was uncooperative with officers but was eventually identified as Nathmaniel Tsinnijinnie. Tsinnijinnie kept uttering that he was just trying to “get high.” Multiple bags that contained presumptive methamphetamine were found on Tsinnijinnie's person. Because Tsinnijinnie could not be booked, a felony charging request will be submitted.
On Sept. 7, 2024, at approximately 10:05 p.m., an officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation. The suspect refused to stop and fled in the vehicle. The driver eventually got out of the vehicle and started to run. The officer chased the suspect on foot and deployed his Taser, which was not effective. The driver continued fleeing but was found hiding behind a vehicle that was parked at a residence. The driver started to run again. Officers continued pursuing him on foot, eventually caught him and arrested him. The suspect was identified as Christopher Peterson. Peterson was searched and presumptive methamphetamine was found on his person. Peterson was booked into the Coconino County Jail for possession of dangerous drugs and resisting arrest.
On Sept. 12, 2024, Page Police were dispatched to a residence to investigate a report that a person had a knife and was threatening people with it. When officers arrived on scene, they observed a subject matching the provided description. Officers contacted the subject, who was identified as Quaiton Henry. Henry was detained, and officers discovered a knife concealed on his person. The reporting person said Henry was found urinating on a vehicle and when they approached him, he suddenly pulled a knife out of his pocket and pointed it toward him. Henry lunged at the victim with the knife, resulting in him running away in fear of his safety. The victim provided a description of the knife, which matched the knife that was found on Henry when he was detained. Henry was placed under arrest for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and other related charges. He was booked into the Coconino County Jail.
On Sept. 12, 2024, at approximately 9:05 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop for multiple traffic violations. The driver was identified as Nicholas Tsiniginie. Tsiniginie informed the officer he had a suspended driver's license for a previous DUI arrest. While the investigation was ongoing, a police canine was deployed and alerted to the presence of illegal drug odor. It was determined Tsiniginie had an active warrant for his arrest and he was placed under arrest. The vehicle and Tsiniginie were both searched. Presumptive methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located and seized. Tsiniginie was booked for the warrant and possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sept. 12, 2024, was designated as National Policewoman Day to recognize the contributions of past and current female law enforcement officers in our country. As such, we are proud to recognize our own female law enforcement officers, Detective Ann Lange and Patrol Officer Christy Robinson. Detective Lange was recently recognized for reopening and charging multiple cases that had previously been closed and Officer Robinson was recently recognized for a successful life-saving effort relating to a stab victim. The City of Page and its citizens are fortunate to have these two dedicated women serving our community. If you see either of these officers, please thank them for their service to our community. Thank you both and stay safe, ladies!!
On Sept. 11, 2024, Evidence Technician Tamalee Fred, Communications Supervisor Jackie Lyons, and Lead Communications Specialist Taylor Yazzie woke up early and participated in a 5K Run to pay respect to those Americans lost in the 9-11 terrorist attacks. The run was part of the Arizona Association of Chiefs of Police Conference held at the AK-Chin Hotel and Casino near Maricopa, Arizona. Fred is a U.S. Army veteran who now serves her community, as do Lyons and Yazzie, with the Page Police Department. Thank you, Ladies!! NEVER FORGET
