Luella went to be with the Lord on April 27, 2017.
She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 9, 1920 to Max and Ellen Miller. She spent most of her youth in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Alongside Floyd, her husband of 68 years, she farmed, owned a hardware store, a picture framing shop, served as a campground host in state parks and traveled the USA camping and fishing. After Floyd went to heaven, Luella continued to enjoy playing bingo, card games and daily walks.
Luella trusted in Jesus, cared about her neighbors, and faithfully prayed for her family.
Her son, Paul; as well as her sisters, Viola Klotzbuecher, Jeanette Rosenthal and Helen Reimer, predeceased her.
Luella is survived by her children, Jerry (CeeCee) Hofberger, Ellen Vaughn, Carol Hofberger, Patty (Bill) Diak and Marianne (Michael) McDevitt; grandchildren, Lance, Lori, Paul, Michael, Tina, Steve, Jon, Kevin, Karen, Meghan, John, Max, Stacy and Shannon; 30 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Reunion Church, 8153 West Cactus Road, Peoria, Arizona.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Reunion Church (Memo line – “Benevolence Fund”) which assists those in need in the community.
