Investigators believe the 22-year-old Flagstaff man who allegedly attacked a Scottsdale woman at random near the Wahweap campground on May 28 was attending an alcoholics anonymous meeting that same evening.
Christopher Alcock was booked on one felony account of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and two felony counts of disorderly conduct with a deadly weapon after police say they believe he attacked Lisa Sawyer of Scottsdale in a public restroom near Loop 3 of the Wahweap campground.
According to Coconino County Sheriff reports, Sawyer was exiting the restroom shortly after 3 a.m., when a man attacked her seemingly at random. Sawyer screamed and attempted to get away as witnesses, family and friends worked to subdue the suspect.
