PAGE - Visitors to Horseshoe Bend are now required to park in a makeshift parking lot alongside State Route 98.
The makeshift parking – east of State Route 89 – is for visitors to Horseshoe Bend. Visitors are required to park here and travel by a shuttle to the Horseshoe Bend trailhead, according to the city of Page website.
This parking situation will be only temporary due to construction at the trailhead. Large vehicles, such as busses, will be the only vehicles allowed to access the parking lot at the trailhead.
For safety reasons, parking is not permitted along Route 89 and violators will be cited.
Timothy Suan, the community development director, did not reply to multiple phone calls and an office visit requesting comment and an interview.
