The Page High School Cultural Arts Building is on schedule to reopen this September, the Page Unified District reported Monday.
After hosting an enthusiastic welcome back ceremony for staff and teachers in the CAB — its first official use since its closure — PUSD Superintendent Rob Varner told The Chronicle the majority of repairs to the building have been completed.
A cornerstone for both high school music, dance and theater as well as outside entertainment acts, the CAB was closed earlier this spring following a particularly intense rainstorm. High winds and a torrential downpour caused damage to the building’s aging roof, which leaked inside and resulted in further damage to electrical components and other infrastructure.
