FLAGSTAFF – The Coconino County Elections Office would like to remind voters residing in the Page Hospital District they have until 7 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5, to return their voted ballots.

As of Thursday, Oct. 24, the Elections Office has received 587 voted ballots. A total of 4,929 ballots were mailed to district voters.

Voters are reminded that this election is a ballot-by-mail election and there will be no polling places on Election Day. If a voter believes they are eligible to vote in this election and did not receive a ballot in the mail, the voter should call the Elections Office at 928-679-7860 or toll free 800-793-6181.

There is still time to return your voted ballot. If a voter chooses to mail the voted ballot, it must be received in the Elections Office by 7 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 5.

Ballots may also be dropped off at the Page City Clerk’s office at 697 Vista Ave. during normal business hours

On Election Day, voted ballots may be dropped off at the Page City Clerk’s office or at the LeChee Chapter House (in LeChee, Arizona), between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Navajo language translators will be available at the LeChee Chapter House on Election Day to assist voters that need language assistance. Prior to Election Day, voters that need Navajo language assistance should call 800-793-6181.

Voters need to remember to sign the outside of the yellow return envelope in order to have the ballot counted. Arizona state law does not allow a proxy to vote for any voter. Ballots returned without the voter’s signature on the return envelope or signed by a person other than the voter will be rejected.

The Elections Office recommends that voters mail their ballots no later than Wednesday, October 30 to ensure that the ballot arrives by the Nov. 5 deadline.

Voters who may have spoiled their ballot or did not receive a ballot may obtain a replacement ballot in person at the Page City Clerk’s office now through 7 p.m. on Nov. 5. Replacement ballots will also be available at the LeChee Chapter House on Election Day.

Election results will be posted on the Coconino County Elections webpage on election night, November 5.

For more information, call the Coconino County Elections Office at (928) 679-7860 or toll-free (800) 793-6181.
