There was a housing “boom” at Page Public Library on Dec. 16 as part of the library’s Christmas celebrations. Eight groups of children and adults worked on almost a dozen gingerbread houses at the same time.
As part of the library’s Family Night series, the library provided tables, graham crackers, gum drops, frosting and other supplies for each team to build and decorate a house.
Each family or group of people received a kit with all the supplies needed to build a gingerbread house and take it home with them.
It seemed that everyone was having a good time. “We can't finish our house because we keep eating the frosting,” one of the children said.
Seairah, the children’s coordinator at the library, organized the event, which was free to the public and was well attended.
