PAGE – Page Police Department on Oct. 15 responded to a reported domestic violence incident at Cliff Court residence around 2:15 p.m.
On the way to the scene, officers learned a male victim was stabbed and the suspect fled the area.
Officers set up a perimeter and began to search for the suspect. Nearby schools were placed on lockdown.
The victim had non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at Page Hospital.
With the assistance of the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office and the National Park Service, Page police officers located the suspect and took them into custody without incident at approximately 3:30 p.m. in the Page Lumber parking lot.
The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Norman Bedonie of Kaibeto, Arizona, was booked into jail for aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, endangerment, and other domestic violence-related charges.
According to police arrest records, Page Police also encountered Bedonie two weeks ago near the same location. Bedonie on Sept. 30 was arrested at 683 S. Lake Powell Blvd. on illegal possession of a weapon and disorderly conduct charges.
