Clark graduated from Nyssa High School in 1959, and later attended the University of Oregon. Clark married Marilyn Lee Pratt on July 29, 1961, a union later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Idaho Temple. Together, they raised four children: David, Clain, Andrea, and Matthew. After Marilyn’s passing, Clark remarried to Konnie Goodwin Priest, whom he married on October 10, 2010. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Utah Temple.
A veteran of the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1964, Clark joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1962 while serving. His faith became a cornerstone of his life as he served in numerous callings including Counselor in the Bishopric, High Councilor (where he cherished serving on the Navajo Reservation), and as a temple worker in both the St. George Utah and Meridian Idaho Temples.
In 1975, Clark moved his family to Page, Arizona. Over the years he managed the Village Inn Pizza Parlor, D. Stevens Department Store, and KPGE/KXAZ radio stations before retiring as director of recreation for the City of Page. He played a pivotal role in building the Page Sports Complex and the development of the Rim Trail. He was deeply involved in Sand Devil sports as a booster, radio announcer, PA announcer and umpire. He particularly loved rec league softball, where he coached, played, and umpired innumerable games.
Clark will be remembered for his kindness and unwavering love for others. He truly embodied the principles of loving God and loving one’s neighbor.
