The Page Lake Powell Chamber of Commerce welcomed Antelope Air to the community. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held July 31 at the Page Municipal Airport.
The company offers air tours to scenic landmarks like Rainbow Bridge, Reflection Canyon, The Wave and Monument Valley.
Chuck Howe, President of parent company IKG Air LLC., told the Chronicle the company also does charter flights.
This is the first Diné owned and operated aircraft tour business.
The company states:
“As a 100% Native American owned and operated company, Antelope Air takes pride in its deep roots in the rich red soil of Arizona. The team sees themselves not only as tour operators but also as stewards of the land, passionately sharing the heritage and majestic landscapes passed down through generations of Indigenous peoples.
“We consider ourselves not just tour operators, but also stewards of the land that has been passed down through generations of Indigenous peoples. With a profound respect for Mother Earth and an undying commitment to sustainable practices, we endeavor to preserve the natural splendor of our home for future generations. We warmly invite you to join us for one of our aerial tours on a journey of discovery as we explore the awe-inspiring landscapes of our backyard, honoring the sacred bond between people and the land.”
