The Arizona Department of Transportation, in cooperation with the City of Page, has begun a $6.8 million intersection improvement project at US Highway 89 and North Lake Powell Boulevard/Scenic View Road.
The project includes building a single-lane roundabout, which according to ADOT will “accommodate traffic and the type of vehicles using this area.” Other elements will be installation of a new curb and gutter, and a sidewalk with Americans With Disabilities Act-compliant ramps and drainage. Sidewalk improvements will tie into the existing sidewalk on the west side of Highway 89 along the south side of Scenic View Road.
Lane restrictions will be in place. Signage and onsite flaggers will direct drivers through the work zone. No work is expected on weekends or holidays. Drivers are advised to plan for possible delays during construction.
The project is expected to be complete in spring 2025.
