Young artists wanted for Page Attacks Trash logo contest

Posted

Teenage artists are being sought to participate in the Page Attacks Trash Art Contest.

Organizers of Page Attacks Trash – which will take place on Saturday, April 22 – are looking for creative, high-school-age students to help create a logo for the event.

The submission deadline for the contest is Friday, January 20, at 4:59 p.m.

The winning logo will be one that illustrates the spirit of Page Attacks Trash, a long-running annual event in which community members volunteer to pick up litter around town and keep the area beautiful.

The logo will be used on posters, free T-shirts given to volunteers, and all other promotional and marketing materials produced for Page Attacks Trash 2023.

Participants in the logo contest must be actively enrolled in local high school or in an online school grade equivalent (grades 9-12). The art must be the student’s own work, previously unpublished either online or in print, and appropriate for all ages to view. Only one entry is allowed per person.

The winner agrees to have their artwork and name used to promote the 2023 Page Attacks Trash event and potential future Page Attacks Trash events. All submitted information and works will be used exclusively in conjunction with Page Attacks Trash.

Physical copies of original artwork can be turned in to Coconino Community College Page Campus (475 South Lake Powell Blvd.), Page City Hall (697 Vista Ave.) or the Glen Canyon Conservancy Flagship (12 North Lake Powell Blvd.), along with a completed application.

Alternately, digital copies of artwork can be emailed to art@canyonconservancy.org. Scanning services for digital submissions are available at Page Public Library.

For more information about the contest, visit canyonconservancy.org/art-contest, email art@canyonconservancy.org or call 928-660-7887.
