Tom M. Kliewer Sr. of Page died March 11.
Tom was born in Orange, California, on Jan. 15, 1959. Tom grew up and spent his life in the Sedona and the Page areas. He retired from the Arizona Department of Transportation. Tom was a well-known musician who played many nights with his bands, “The Smoking Gun Band” and “Hipshot,” at area venues such as Big John’s Barbecue. Tom enjoyed time on the Colorado River. He enjoyed hiking, fishing, hunting, and exploring the area with his children and his grandchildren. Tom was well loved by locals, family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Alberta; his children Tommy Jr. and Sacheen; his mother Susan; his brother Miles; his sister Elizabeth; and his grandchildren Silas, Brixton, and Maizy.
Graveside service will be held at the Page Cemetery at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2020. A celebration of life will take place following the graveside service. Location to be announced.
