A 15-year-old Lechee boy is facing one count of threatening after allegedly posting a threat against Page High School last week.
Hours after class let out for the final time Friday, the threat appeared on Facebook, with the writer saying he would shoot anyone who left the school.
The message read, “I’m in Page, at your high school 22 308 AR-15 a 12-gauge shotgun if you walk out of that school you’re dead.”

After being made aware of the threat, officers from the Page Police Department went to the high school and cleared every room in the facility. No one was inside the school at the time.
Lt. Larry Jones said the police were also able to locate an address in Lechee for the 15-year-old who allegedly made the threat. Because Lechee is on the Navajo Nation, Page police asked the Navajo Police Department to visit the home in Lechee.
Navajo police made contact with the 15-year-old and Page police responded to offer assistance. The teen admitted to posting the threat on Facebook.
Navajo police officers arrested the teen for threatening and transported the suspect to the Tuba City juvenile facility.
