The latest polls from the Coconino County Recorder’s office showed Levi Tappan leading incumbent mayor Bill Diak with 53.5 percent of the vote, to Diak’s 46 percent.
The Recorder’s Office reported it still has a lot of votes to count and won’t release the official decision until Nov. 26, but Coconino County Recorder Patty Hansen said her office hopes to release the unofficial general election results this Friday.
In related news, Judge Donald Roberts leads the race for Page Justice of the Peace with 66.8 percent of the vote over his challenger Michael Barnes who has 32.6 percent of the vote.
Coconino County will canvass the votes for Page mayor on Nov. 20. The city of Page will canvass the votes for mayor on Nov. 26. The mayor and city council members will be sworn in on Monday Nov. 26, at 5:30 p.m. at city hall.
