Sand Devils competing at state high school track and field championships


PAGE – Ten Page High track and field athletes are currently competing at the Arizona Interscholastic Association’s Division III state track and field championships at Mesa Community College.

There are several defending state champions hoping to repeat their titles and set new state records like Page senior Bowen Martin who is looking to win four state titles: the 800-, 1,600-, and the 3,200-meter runs, and the 4x800 relay.

 

The following athletes qualified for state track:

 

  • Zhanna Edwards – 100- and 200-meters
  • Giovanni Coulson – 400-meters
  • Bowen Martin – 800-, 1,600-, and 3,200-meters, and 4x800 relay
  • Trent Holiday – 800-, 1,600-meters, and 4x800 relay
  • Kaipo Uejo – 4x800 relay
  • Morgan Fowler – 1,600-meters and 4x800 relay
  • Lance Harris – 1,600- and 3,200-meters
  • Rex Martin – 3,200-meters
  • Skylar Sandoval – 3,200 meters
  • Kele Meredith – Shot put and discus

 

The boys and girls track teams both won the 3A North Track and Field Championships in Kayenta on April 24.
