Page boys take first, girls second at cross-country meet

High school runners compete in the 3A North Region Cross-Country Meet in Page on Oct. 26.

Page hosted the 3A North Region Cross-Country Meet on Oct. 26. Page boys took first place, and Page girls finished second. 

The event was held on the grounds of Lake View Primary. The race route began on Lake View’s north playground and from there went north to Potato Hill, then looped back to Lake View to finish.

Page boys had six runners finish in the top 10. Symond Martin, who is the top-ranked freshman in Arizona, finished highest for the Runnin’ Devils in fourth place. Davis Quentin placed fifth, Tanner Dugi placed sixth, Gavyn Begay placed seventh, Maximus Reid placed ninth and Elijah Reed placed 10th. Ty Lefthand finished in 49th place. 

In the girls race, Page’s Jade Reid placed second, while Alyssa Harris finished fifth, Sofia Cambridge ninth, Lelaura Yazzie 11th and Isabella Manning 16th.
