The Page boys soccer team had a great week last week inking two X’s in the win column.

They hosted Holbrook on Tuesday and defeated them 6-3. They hosted Ashfork/Seligman on Saturday and defeated them 5-0.

“Saturday’s game was the best we’ve played all season,” said boys soccer head coach Ryan Palizzi. “We were back to full strength last week. We only had one kid out and that helped a lot.”

Saturday’s game was senior day and it brought out a larger than usual amount of fans, and playing at home in front of an enthusiastic crowd helped a lot, said Coach Palizzi.

“The fan support gave my players extra energy and enthusiasm,” said Coach Palizzi. “We also played together very well, passed very well and took more and higher quality shots on goal.”

After last week’s two wins, their record is now 3-5-1.

They played Snowflake on Tuesday, after this paper had gone to press, and they’ll play Holbrook again on Thursday for their final regular season game.
