The Page boys soccer team is on a bit of a tear the last two weeks, most recently defeating Grand Canyon 9-2 for their third straight win.
Currently they’re sitting in 10th place.
Their next opponent is the Snowflake Lobos who are sitting in third place.
“This is our biggest game of the season,” said boys soccer head coach Ryan Palizzi. “If we can beat Snowflake, we will hopefully move up a few spots and that might be enough.”
The top eight teams go to state.
They face their hardest opponents during the first part of the season, losing most of the games, but playing against such tough opponents made them up their game, perhaps more than they would have otherwise, said Palizzi.
Palizzi says his team has built some good unity during the season and they’re now drawing from that well.
“A lot of chemistry is coming together for us at the right time,” said Palizzi.
