After three months of closure, Page Animal Hospital will reopen on Aug. 1, according to a statement released by the hospital on July 11.
The hospital will be staffed by veterinarians Kevin Ballard and Jerry Roundtree, tech assistants TC Holman and Kylie Harris, and practice manager Roseann Hoerter.
Phones at the hospital will be reactivated on July 25, at which time they will begin accepting appointments. Once the hospital reopens on Aug. 1, business hours will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Anyone seeking outside-of-business-hours service is advised to contact Aspen Veterinary Clinic in Flagstaff, Arizona (928-526-2423) or Southwest Emergency Animal Clinic in St. George, Utah (435-673-3191).
Meanwhile, Page Animal Hospital is still seeking to recruit two additional full-time veterinarians and is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who successfully refers a full-time veterinarian to work at the hospital.
Page Animal Hospital had closed its doors on April 29 due to an inability to find a veterinarian who was willing and able to relocate to Page.
“We pray this will be a temporary closure and plan to reopen as soon as we are able to find a veterinarian. It is with deep regret and turmoil we have come to this point and decision,” Kevin Ballard, the hospital’s owner, said in a mid-March message announcing the closure.
Page Animal Hospital was previously owned by Jerry Roundtree. When he retired and moved away from Arizona, the practice was taken over by Ballard in July 2018.
