Gerald David (Bubba) Puckett, 67, was born in Weatherford, Texas to Tom and Darlene Puckett on March 2, 1950 and passed from this life on Sept 7, 2017. Jerry attended Peaster schools, W’ford HS (class of 67), W’ford College and UTA.  Jerry and wife, Peggy (Howton), recently celebrated 48 years of marriage. 

Settling in Farmington, N.M. in 1978, he became Transp. Mgr. for Giant Ind. 

Moving to Lake Powell in 1988, he became an outdoor writer, radio host and fishing guide. He always found a place in his boat for kids and physically challenged clients. In Farmington from 2007-2016, he was GM at Premier NDT. Jerry shared his life stories as magazine editor, newspaper writer and member of the Outdoor Writers Association. While in Page, he was a Mason, Rotarian and Elk. 

Gerald was preceded in death by his mother Darlene Puckett.

Gerald is survived by wife, Peggy; sons, Colton (Cassandra) and Clayton (Kaye); granddaughters, Caden Jane Puckett and Skyye Dombrowski; sisters, Cheryl Ginn and Pam Holland; and father, Tom.
