Members of the Page City Council, from left, Vice Mayor John Kocjan, Korey Seyler, Michael Bryan and Mayor Bill Diak take the oath of office during their regular council meeting last week. All the members of the council re-took the oath after a city resident pointed out the oath all had previously taken was in violation of state law. The state sets out the exact wording that must be used for the oath, but the city has for decades added a phrase. When the error was pointed out, the city began correcting the error with elected and appointed officials.
