Celebrating National Police Week

Members of the Page Police Department gather to mark National Peace Officers Memorial Day and National Police Week, which began in 1962. President John F. Kennedy and a joint resolution of Congress proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which it falls as National Police Week. City of Page Mayor Bill Diak and the Page City Council certified its proclamation on April 26: “The City of Page formally designates May 14-20, 2023 as Police Week in Page, Arizona and publicly salutes the service of law enforcement officers in our community and in communities across the nation.”
