The Page Police Department is investigating after a 47-year-old woman was found dead in the desert near Walmart late last month.
Lt. Larry Jones with the Page Police Department said the body of Gina Tallman was found June 26 in the desert south of the Walmart parking lot. Jones said Tallman’s body was in the location less than 48 hours before it was found.
Tallman’s body was transported to the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office in Flagstaff for an autopsy. Jones said the autopsy has been, but final results are pending while waiting for the toxicology results.
Tallman lived on the Navajo reservation, and her body has been released to her family.
“We’re investigating it like we do any death,” Jones said. “We don’t have any evidence of a crime, but we are investigating it.”
