PAGE - Big John’s Texas Barbecue, the popular restaurant was burglarized around 2 a.m. Friday.
According to sources affiliated with the popular restaurant, a window was broken, and the security video shows the intruder acted quickly, going directly to the where the safe was hidden. Around $6,000 was stolen.
Page Police confirmed the burglary and are reviewing the surveillance video. Page Police Lt. Larry Jones said the intruder wore dark clothing and a mask, giving them little to work with but physical characteristics.
Big John’s is located on South Lake Powell Boulevard, in a high traffic area.
This is the second reported business targeted by perpetrators in Page this summer. On June 23, an armed man attempted to rob the Dollar General Store. Page Police arrested a suspect three days later.
