The Amangiri Resort and Spa, located in Big Water, Utah, was included in Conde Nast Traveller’s Gold List for the 20 best hotels in the world.
The Conde Nast article described Amangiri as “A love letter to light, written in concrete. Part hotel, part art installation, Amangiri is a luminous place of startling beauty, but also ridiculously fun. Like being inside a living James Turrell sculpture where the shades of the world are hyper-realised, Amangiri seems to exist in some parallel — and wildly more spectacular — universe.”
“We are thrilled to be featured in this prestigious list outlining Conde Nast Travelers editors’ favorite hotels from around the world,” said Anthony Duggan, general manager of Amangiri. “Our `peaceful mountain’ is truly the perfect base to discover all that the Colorado Plateau has to offer.”
Amangiri, which means “peaceful mountain,” is a high-end luxury resort located a 25 minute drive west of Page. It’s tucked away at the base of a group of cliffs in Canyon Point, Utah. It features 34 suites, a spa, fitness center, pilates studio, yoga studio and an outdoor pool built around the area’s natural rocks and cliff walls.
It opened in October 2009.
