Last week, John W. Moore and his son Jason spent a few days in Page. They met with various members of the community to gather support for Moore’s run for U.S. Congress representing District 1. Moore served as Mayor of Williams, Arizona, for 12 years, and was the community’s chief of police from 1986 to 1992. He’s also the owner of Wild West Junction in Williams.
The Chronicle is reaching out to all candidates visiting Page and is not endorsing anyone. Moore was gracious enough to stop by the Chronicle and talk. He was surprisingly open and frank about many topics that affect Page. His experience and steadfastness in principles was also apparent. Here are a few highlights from the interview.
