Officers with the Coconino County Sheriff’s Dept. and Navajo Police Dept. responded to a three-vehicle traffic accident Wednesday afternoon. According to officers on scene the accident produced multiple injuries, some of which were severe.
Four ambulances and a helicopter with Classic Aviation transported the victims to Page Hospital.
The accident occurred on highway 98 at the turnoff for Adventurous Antelope Canyon Tours which conducts tours into upper Antelope Canyon. The accident occurred about 3:00 p.m.
According to the Navajo Police, the accident occurred due to a vehicle either pulling into or pulling out of the parking lot of Adventurous Antelope Canyon Tours, which caused other vehicles on highway 98, which were traveling fast, to crash into the slow-moving vehicle.
