March seems to be the month that things begin to happen each year. There is spring training, March Madness, Spring Break, the first day of spring, as well as spring cleaning and Daylight Saving Time (except for us in Arizona). Trees bud and blossom, grass starts turning green, and even flowers show signs of blooming soon. It is like life is beginning to happen all around us. Here in Page and the Lake Powell communities, we are seeing a marked increase in tourists coming to us from all over the world and all over the United States.
Spring has always been a time when we put winter behind us and clean house, going through our belongings and ridding ourselves of things we wonít need for the summer and fall months. Yard sales begin happening in greater numbers every weekend.
As Christians, we begin thinking about Easter, the death of Christ on the cross, the resurrection and all that it means to us personally. It is a time for some Spiritual spring cleaning. We can go through our lives and see what we have allowed to pile up in the closets of our hearts or what has been gathering dust over the months and years of little or no use.
Some things in our lives we need to clean out and get rid of. Sometimes we discover that there are special gifts and talents that we havenít used in years that need to be polished off, cleaned up and used again to be a blessing to others.
