An anonymous tip has led to the quick recovery of items stolen from Page’s Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church last week — including the church’s Baldwin piano, an amplifier and a flat-screen television.
On Feb. 7, Page police officers responded to a home located on the 100 block of Calle Hermosa Street after receiving information that a subject was seen pushing a piano on Lake Powell Boulevard near where the crime occurred, and that the piano was then loaded into a truck and taken to the residence.
A search warrant was eventually obtained and officers recovered the stolen items from the home.
24-year-old Charmaine Black of Page was arrested and booked on charges of possession of stolen property, felony possession of marijuana and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Page Police Department was unavailable for further comment, but indicated the investigation is ongoing
