Page Police have a man in custody after a brief stand-off with him Monday morning. Police responded to a report of aggravated assault at a home on Cypress Street about 7 a.m. and found the suspect had barricaded himself inside the house.
After nearly three hours police were able to safely take the suspect into custody around 10 a.m. Police haven’t yet identified the man.
While the incident was still ongoing police evacuated people from neighboring homes and worked with Page Unified School Superintendent Rob Varner to place Lakeview Elementary and Page Middle Schools on soft lockdown. The soft lockdown was lifted after the barricaded man gave himself up.
